I'd prefer to not have to reinstall Leopard, but if I have to, I think I will eventually. I'm going to attempt to play through the campaign until I can find some sort of solution to this problem. Deleting all the preferences for the game in /Library/Preferences.

This obviously didn't work, because the game won't allow me to patch it. Installing Reign of Chaos, updating to version 1.22, then installing The Frozen Throne and updating. Changing the "Movies" folder in the Warcraft III directory to be "Moovies" so the game doesn't attempt to load them. Completely removing and reinstalling the game(I've done this about 4-5 times). So here are several things I've attempted: I've read quite a bit online of what people have gone through to get things running. So, despite my best efforts, I'm not sure what to do really.
When I attempt to take a screenshot of what this looks like, the picture just looks like a black screen. Once installed, I attempt to start up and I don't get to view any of the movies for the expansion, it just takes me to a screen with my cursor(in the shape of a glove) and displays the game version number(1.07) in the bottom right corner. So in this, I just said "Whatever!" and went on to installing Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Here is a picture of the error that pops up.Įdit:: In relation to the image, I do have the disc in the drive(I've attempted ejecting it and putting it back in as well), and I've attempted running the downloadable patch from here and running it in the Warcraft III directory.

I also have the ability to connect to and download a patch, but I receive an error once Warcraft III attempts to update itself. What I've found is that I can start up Warcraft III:Reign of Choas and change video settings and play in version 1.00. So I've had a lot of trouble installing Warcarft III and playing it. I'm not using any sort of external devices(mouse and keyboard are standard built-in ones). So I've actually had some rather interesting problems that I can't seem to find a solution to anywhere, so I'm going to turn to you all! First off, here's what I'm running:ġ5" MacBook Pro(2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2gb of 667Mhz DDR2 SDRAM) with Leopard 10.5.4 installed.
